Attention all Dayton High School Juniors and Families!
All juniors at Dayton HS will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 11th. All juniors in the state of Kentucky are required to take the ACT regardless of postsecondary plans. Students who attend the ATC, Gateway, Skilled Trades, or YSA are required to take the ACT at Dayton HS. Each student attending one of the programs mentioned will be excused from their respective program on the day of the ACT – Tuesday, March 11th.
All juniors should arrive to school no later than 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11th. The school will be providing a special breakfast beginning at 7:20 a.m. in the library. Students will move to the Board of Education Building at 8:05 to begin making final preparations for the ACT – we plan to start the ACT no later than 8:30 a.m.
We encourage each student to give their very best effort, get a good night of sleep before taking the ACT, and to be on time to school on the morning of the ACT.
Upon completion of ACT testing, Dayton HS will be taking students out to lunch. Permission forms have been provided to each junior and must be returned to school no later than the morning of the ACT.
Good luck Greendevils!

Many thanks for the school and community’s support of this year’s DHS blood drive! Our blood drive collected 27 units of blood, which will help save the lives of 81 patients in our area. We were proud to beat our donor total from last year, and signed up 19 brand new donors. Greendevils always roll up their sleeves to help our community! 🩸

Today, Dayton HS hosted one of its most interesting and intriguing Inspire Speakers yet with Dr. Attef Mikhail! Dr. Mikhail is a well-known and respected radiologist who spoke on the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco/vapes, while also showing pictures of his experiences that display the harm these 'enemies' could cause. He emphasized the importance of finding your passion, setting your goals high, and surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people. Dr. Mikhail was an inspiration for both students and staff!

Calling all Dayton students, teachers, and community members! The Annual Dayton High School Blood Drive is on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Please consider saving lives by donating blood if at all possible. All donors get a free Hoxworth Fleece Pullover. To schedule the appointment, please see Ms. Buschle or go to hoxworth.org/groups/dayton. Looking forward to seeing all our Greendevils help save lives!

We are happy to spotlight two of our amazing educators!
First grade teacher Nicole Wiseman and HS Business Teacher Asher Khan.
Both of these excellent teachers have been teaching at Dayton Schools for 6 years! It is always a joy going into their classrooms!!!
