Happy Energy Bus Thursday! This week we introduced Energy Bus Rule #2: "Fuel your ride with Positive Energy." We had some positive and engaging classroom discussions about different ways to cultivate a positive mindset and learned how it impacts our overall well-being and success. We also recognized our September Drivers of the Month during our pep-rally. Teams of our Student and Staff Drivers of the Month 'Fueled their Ride' with a relay race! #WeAreDayton

BOO! Come out to the DHS Drama Club's Haunted House and be SCARED on October 17th and 18th from 8pm-11pm at the DHS Gym! Tickets are $5. The Haunted House is bigger and better than it has ever been before, come out and see us!

The DHS Drama Club is hosting a FUN and FREE Trick-or-Treat walkthrough of the Haunted House on Friday and Saturday, October 17th and 18th from 5-7pm in the DHS Gym. Bring your little devils, come out, and have a great time!

FALL SOFTBALL VOLUNTARY WORKOUTS: Softball will start fall softball voluntary workouts on Mondays and Thursdays starting Monday, October 6 and Thursday, October 9. 330 to 5:15 PM at the softball field. All are welcome!

Happy Energy Bus Thursday! We wrapped up Rule #1 today with our "Build Your Bus" Activity. Students were able to use their creativity to draw their ideal bus, and, in doing so, spend time thinking about goal planning-which is an integral part of rule #1--Create a Positive Vision! #WeAreDayton 🚌💚

Congratulations to our 7th grade Lady Greendevils volleyball team who earned the runner-up trophy tonight in their conference championship game. They lost in a tough one against a talented Woodland team, but fought the entire time. The girls had an outstanding season and should be extremely proud of themselves. It is safe to say the DHS volleyball program is in good hands! Congrats, girls! #WeAreDayton

Mrs. Obert's 8th grade science class has been hard at work learning about collisions and materials that reduce the amount of force on objects. Today, students participated in an engaging experiment where they had to use every day materials to create a protective structure that would prevent an egg from cracking after being dropped from a certain height. After following through with their design, each group was able to test it out right in the DHS hallways. It is clear this is a bright group with the lack of broken eggs in our stairwell!
