Here We Grow Again!
The Kentucky Department of Education has recently released the new accountability 2015 baselines and 2016 Annual Measurable Objective (AMO) Goals for the upcoming school year. This report continues to be very positive news for our school district and community. According to this data Dayton Middle School, Dayton High School, and the Dayton Independent School District have all reached proficiency benchmarks as we head into the 2015-2016 accountability year.
The GROWING success story of Dayton Independent Schools is one that shows what a focused TEAM can do when they put their mind to it! Dayton Independent Schools has risen from one of the lowest performing districts in the state (6 years ago ranked 171/173 districts) to now being 89/173.
From preschool readiness rates improving from 28% to 52%, to College and Career Readiness rates improving from 2% to over 70%, and ACT scores GROWING from an average of 15.9 to 19.2…great work continues to be done by our students, staff, and community! We GROW together!
