Pay/ load your child's cafeteria account through Infinite Campus

Parents/Guardians can now make payments online for a student's cafeteria account.  Dayton Schools offers a free breakfast, lunch, and after-school power snack to all students, but they can choose to purchase additional a la carte items, snacks, and drinks.  Parents can add funds to these accounts online through the new Infinite Campus system.

To Use:

1.  Parents can log into the Infinite Campus portal (this is the same site to check grades/attendance).

2.  Click on the "Payments" tab and follow the directions to add a payment method.  Then add the amount to be placed.  You can add your email address to have a receipt emailed if you prefer.

3.  Click on the "Food Service" tab to see account balances and to view a detail of all cafeteria transactions for each student.

4.  If parents use the mobile app too, they check account balances and even set alerts for low balances.

If parents need assistance with setting up an account to log into Infinite Campus, please contact your child's school.

Healthy Changes in Our School Cafeterias!

Dayton Independent school cafeterias are meeting tough new federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring that meals are healthy and well-balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. Now is a great time to encourage your kids to choose school lunch!

School meals offer students milk, fruits and vegetables, proteins and grains, and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size. Starting in School Year 2013 -2014 school breakfast will meet additional standards as the lunch program underwent changes last year

  • Age-appropriate calorie limits

  • More whole grains

  • And less sodium

We’re always working to offer Dayton students healthier and tastier choices. To find out more about Dayton’s healthy school meals visit our website here.

School Nutrition provides breakfast and lunch meals during the school day. Our menu choices are selected to be nutritionally balanced as possible and meet or exceed the U. S. Department of Agriculture dietary standards. These guidelines require school lunches to average no more than 30 percent calories from fat and no more that 10 percent calories from saturated fat in a one-week period. In addition, lunches must provide an average of one-third of the key nutrients including protein, Vitamins A and C, calcium and iron and calories recommended daily for children.

Breakfast menus must meet the same restrictions for calories from fat as lunches. However, breakfast menus provide an average of one-quarter of the key nutrients and calories recommended daily for children.

Nutritional guidelines for ala carte items offered in our cafeterias also must meet nutritional standards which are no more than 8 grams of fat per serving, no more than 30% of calories from fat and no more than 35% added sugar by weight. Beverages must be no more that 10 grams of sugar per serving,100% fruit juice, 1%, skim, and fat-free white milk.
