Central Office Staff

Mr. Brewer is in his 24th year in education and has been the Superintendent of Dayton Independent Schools since 2012.

He is a graduate of Ludlow High School and he received his Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky.  He then received his Rank I from Northern Kentucky University and his Superintendent Certification from Xavier University.  Mr. Brewer taught at Ludlow Elementary for 8 years, was Principal at Ludlow Elementary for 4 years, and was Principal of Ruth Moyer Elementary for 8 years, before joining the Dayton team.

Mr. Brewer resides in Ft. Thomas with his wife and 3 children.  In his spare time, he enjoys running and is a 20 time Boston Marathon Qualifier.  

This is Mr. Wolf’s 16th year working for Dayton Independent Schools.

Rick is a 1999 graduate of Thomas More College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a middle school endorsement.  He earned his Master’s Degree in 2005 from Northern Kentucky University in instructional leadership, and earned his superintendent certification and Rank I from Northern Kentucky University in 2013. 

Rick was hired by Dayton Independent Schools in January of 2000 as a long term substitute.  He finished the school year out in that role and was then hired as 7th/8th grade English teacher.  For 9 years Rick taught 7th and 8th grade English and Reading.  His last two years of teaching he served as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director handling administrative, supervision duties, and athletics.  Throughout those 9 years, Rick coached freshmen and varsity football and he coached baseball for four years, serving as the head coach for three of those years.  In May of 2009, Rick was hired as principal of Dayton High School.  He served as principal for four years before taking over as the Director of Teaching and Learning of Dayton Independent Schools.  

Rick has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for twelve years and they have two daughters.

Mr. Kinmon is currently in his 5th year of employment at Dayton Independent Schools. He has always enjoyed helping others and says he couldn’t think of a better field to be in than education.  He believes it is important to remember that each day, we get to help shape someone’s future and that is an awesome feeling.  Mr. Kinmon has been in education for 20 years and has worked in alternative education, school level administration, district level administration, and coaching.  He spent his first 14 years working for Grant County Schools before he joined the Greendevil Team.  He graduated from Berea College with a Business Administration Degree and received his Education Certificate from Xavier University.  He also received his first Master’s Degree from Xavier University and then went on to get a 2nd Master’s Degree and Principal Certificate from Eastern Kentucky University.  He then continued his education and received his DPP Certificate and Superintendent License from Xavier University.  Mr. Kinmon truly enjoys working in education and he is looking forward to the next 10 years or more of his career.  He is married to Jamie (Abrams) Kinmon and has three children:  Kyle, Stephanie, and Katie.
