Dear Parents/Guardians: 

The Dayton Independent Schools participate in the federally funded Title I, Part A program. The Title I program focuses on providing assistance in the academic areas of math, reading, social studies, and science. Both of our schools utilize a school wide Title I program. As such, the schools have funding for staff, professional development and parent involvement. 

Title I schools are required to survey parents in order to plan effective Title I programs. Lincoln Elementary and Dayton High School both have policies addressing parent involvement. The individual school-site base councils review these policies each year. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of our school policies we would like you to complete the online questionnaire below or print the questionnaire and send it back to the school by April 24, 2009. Your feedback is vital to help us improve parent involvement activities. Suggestions on how we can better help our students at home or at school are welcome.
