  • October 3, 2016

It has been a while since I have made an update, I apologize for that! As we continue forward be sure to ask your student what class period that have me for. This will determine what material is most appropriate for them when utilizing my website as a resource.

Any missing work will have to be turned in by October 12th in order for it to be reported on the first quarter report card. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at any time!

  • Week Three

We are quickly approaching the end of our first unit! Last week so many of the students reached proficiency on their quiz. I am proud of how well they are doing. We are working on rounding numbers during this short week. Monday night is always a review night for homework. Talk to them about this homework so they can continue to progress in this area. We are also going to be working on rounding this week. Talk to your students about the process they use to round a number (we recorded 4 steps). This will help them to remember the steps necessary for the process moving forward and when we revisit this skill for estimation and reasonableness.

Next week we will be working more with adding and subtracting large numbers! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!

  • Week Two

We have had an exciting first full week of school! I am proud of where we are right now and impressed with the knowledge they are remembering! Be sure to check out the Unit in Review and the Rubric for their unit project. This week we review place value and number forms, I was excited with their quiz scores. Next week we will move into comparing and ordering numbers and look forward to watching them grow! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.

  • First Week

Your students have been working extremely hard already! We have completed the fourth grade benchmark assessments and are ready to start our first unit next week! Look for a Unit in Review paper to be coming home with them on Monday. This will include the rubric and due date for their first project!!!
