Europe

Grace and Haley are in London too.

Look on the top of those chimneys! Those are Chimney Pots. Chimney Pots were decorative clay pots put on top of the chimney to increase the draft of the chimney... for better heating in the home. For many years homes were heated by fireplaces.

Chimney Sweeps ( people who clean out chimneys) are one of the oldest jobs in the world. They clean out the chimneys to keep chimneys from catching on fire.

I wonder if a windmill can replace gasoline in a car!

It was built by the Romans and finished in 80AD.

It was an amphitheater which could hold up to 50,000 people at a time.

Ryan and Austin are inside the coliseum.

Wow !!!

When they built this - they didn't have cranes and bulldozers.

There were 76 entrances ...that's so all 50,000 people can exit the coliseum in 5 minutes!

That sure would pass fire code!!!

It is not the tallest structure in the world ...yet Jeicy and Laela are flying in front of the most recognizable structure in the world.....the Eiffel Tower.

It is the only man made object that can be seen from outer space.

It was built 2000 years ago to keep China from being invaded by warring tribes from the north.

Emma, Hannah and Alexis haven't decided if they are going to climb Mt. Everest. They will probably just fly up there.

It's a long way up there.

It is 29,035 feet tall. Each year it grows a few millimeters because of forces in the earth's crust.

It's mighty cold at those high elevations. You better put your coats, hats, gloves and long underwear on! BRRRRRRRRRRRRR

They must be at Anartica. These are Rockhopper Penquins

Did you know that penquins only live in the southern hemisphere?

"Waddle, waddle, waddle"

They are so cute!

Joey and Logan are flying over Alaska.

The Northern Lights are dancing in the sky. They are also called Auroras.

It is caused by the solar wind mixing with the earth's magnetic field.

But the Inuit Native Americans believe that the beautiful dancing lights in the sky means the dead are playing football with a walrus skull.

Oh , my!

Dakota and McKenzie are way up over Greenland.

It is funny that Greenland is actually covered with ice. Why is it called Greenland? That is just silly!

This is Disko Bay...what an interesting arch in this iceberg. I wonder how it was formed.

Rachel and Corinne are flying over Alaska.

They are a little confused. Isn't that bear supposed to be white. It should be a polar bear.

But it is brown?

Then we learned that brown bears live in Alaska too!

Cynthia and Chyanna have flown to Antarctica also.

Look at all the penguins. This reminds them of the movie "Happy Feet".

This little penguin wants to get out of the cold and go home with them.
