Office 365 Email Migration Project - February 22, 2018

The email migration will start February 22, 2018 at 4:30pm and will continue into the weekend.  Email may return on Friday, but prepare to be without email until Monday February 26, 2018


> Feb 22, 4:30p District Office 365 Email Migration has started.  Please do not access your email (Outlook Web App, Mobile App, or Outlook Desktop App), OneDrive, or OneNotes online.
> Feb 22, 10:00p Staff mailbox migration - in Progress.  No one should be in their email. The Pre-Migration steps below should have been completed
Feb 23, 8:00a - Staff mailbox migration continues to be in progress
Feb 23, 2:00p - Staff mailbox content finishing up.  Project migration continues.  Email continues to be unavailble to everyone.
Feb 23, 5:00p - Staff mailbox content - finished up. Project migration continues. Email continues to be unavailable to everyone.
Feb 24, 10:00a - Final Cleanup - In Progress - Project migration continues.  Email continues to be unavailable to everyone
> Feb 26, 8:20a - Email service back online and available to everyone.  OneDrive Migration in progress.  You must have followed the Premigration steps - removing the email settings from your mobile device (Phone or tablet) before adding it back.  Follow the Post Migration steps to access your email via Outlook Client on your computer.
> Feb 26, 11:00a - Leadership access to email via mobile phones and clients updated.  Working through process to get staff clients reconfigured.  Staff should be accessing email via Outlook Web App.
> Feb 27, 7:14p - All staff and Students should have access to email; at least via Outlook Web App. OneDrive content continues to be migrated.
Feb 28, 11:46a - OneDrive migration taking longer than expected.  Migration is still occrring. OneDrive continues to be unavailable.
> Mar 3, 1:27p - OneDrive content migration in-progress.  295 of 758 accounts migrated. Data continues to move.
> Mar 5, 11:00a - OneDrive content migration in-progress.  295 of 758 accounts migrated. Data continues to move.
> Mar 7, 2:11p - OneDrive content migration in-progress. 308 of 785 accounts migrated. Slow migration continues to be investigated.
> Mar 13, 9:40a - OneDrive content migration in-progress continues. Microsoft corrected the provisioning issues. Content migration speeds have increased and all content migration should be completed by end of day on Thursday March 15, 2018.
Mar 14, 8:13a - OneDrive content migration completed. Any active OneDrive account with the 180 window had their content migrated.

- PRE-MIGRATION - February 22

Before 4:00pm on Thursday, February 22

SIGN-OUT: All email, Office Applications and any apps linked to your "" (Staff) or "" (Student) account

Different versions of Andriods may have different steps to remove the account.  Generally, locate your school account in settings and remove.  If using the GMail App to access school email, locate your school account and remove from the GMail App.

2. Click Settings
3. Click Stop Syncing
4. Click Unlink Account
Note: Files will stay on your computer

2. Touch Account & Passwords

3. Click Preferences
4. Click Account
5. Click Unlink this Mac
6. Confirm by clicking the Unlink Account button

3. Touch Exchange (or other Label for school email. Exchange is dafault label)
4. Touch your email address
5. Touch Delete Account
6. Confirm Deleting of Account


Mobile Devices

1. Open OneDrive mobile App
2. Touch Me (bottom right)
3. Touch Sign Out (Android) or Sign Out of this Account (iOS)

1. Launch Skpe App
2. Click on the arrow next to the gear icon Skype Settings icon (top right)
3. Click File
4. Click on Sign Out
5. Click the Delete my sign-in Info link
6. Click Yes to confirm

- MIGRATION - February 23 - 25




ACCESS  (uninterrupted service during migration):

  • Infinite Campus
  • District & School Websites

Go ahead and clear your web browser cache.

Clear Browser Cache (Note that these directions may differ slightly for the MacOS running on the Macbook Computers)


1. Launch Safari
2. Click History
3. Click Clear History
4. in the Clear, drop-down menu, select All History
5. Click Clear History
6. Quit the Safari Application (COMMAND+Q or Safari to Quit) and re-open the browser


1. From the History menu, select Clear Resent History
2. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select everything
3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items
4. Click Clear Now
5. Exit/Quit all browser windows/tabs and re-open the browser

Microsoft Edge

  1. In the top right, click the Hub icon (looks like star with three horizontal lines).
  2. Click the History icon (looks like a clock), and then select Clear all history.
  3. Select Browsing history, then Cookies and saved website data, and then Cached data and files. Click Clear.
  4. After the "All Clear!" message appears, exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.


  1. In the browser bar, enter:


  1. At the top of the "Clear browsing data" window, click Advanced.
  2. Select the following:
    • Browsing history
    • Download history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files

From the "Time range" drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select All time.

  1. Click CLEAR DATA.
  2. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Internet Explorer 11

Delete Internet Explorer 11 Cache

On any Internet Explorer 11 window, use the "Ctrl-Shift-Del" shortcut to bring up the Delete Browsing History pop-up window.  To delete the Web cache, uncheck all options except for "Temporary Internet Files and Website Files" and "Cookies and Website Data," then click "Delete." If you prefer setting Internet Explorer 11 to automatically, delete the Web cache when exiting the browser each time, press "Alt-X," then select "Internet Options." Under the General tab, check the "Delete Browsing History on Exit" option, and then click "Apply." Automating this process, however, also causes Internet Explorer 11 to delete data such as download history, form data, passwords, and favorite website data, in addition to the cached Web content.

2. Click Control Panel
3. Select Categories it top right and change to Large Icons
4. Click Mail icon
5. Click Show Profiles
6. Click Outlook Profile
7. Click Remove
8. Click Apply and then OK
9. Launch the Outlook Client to start the Setup Wizard.

5. Click Choose OneDrive Folder Location
6. Select your previous OneDrive location (may already show up)
7. Click Choose this Location
8. Click Next
9. Select Use This Location - This will ensure that your old files automatically get uploaded to the new OneDrive for Business account
