We are seeking one parent to serve on the Lincoln Elementary School Based Decision Making Council (SBDMC) for a one year term – July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.
New Council members will receive a six hour training to prepare them for their role on council. The council meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Library throughout the year, with some special meetings added to the calendar as needed.
The school council decides on school policies, works on the allocation of staff, plans budgets and curriculum.
Qualifications: The parent council member shall be a parent, stepparent, foster parent, or legal guardian of a student attending this school during the council member’s term of office. The parent is ineligible if he/she is an employee or a relative of an employee of Lincoln Elementary or the Central Office, is a member of the local Board of Education or married to a School Board member.
Eligible candidates who would like to serve on council should fill out this short nomination form and return it to the school office.
Nomination forms must be turned in by Tuesday, June 21 2016. A sample ballot will be posted on the school website and the LES Facebook page on Wednesday, June 22. The election will take place on Wednesday, June 29 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm in the school’s main office.
Thank you in advance for your commitment to the students of Lincoln Elementary School. You can make a difference.
